Don't Call Us, We'll call You

I found out that I wasn't chosen for a cameo role in the Rockies 2012 TV commercials (see previous post.) The bad news came in an email that said they had a "need for just over 30 fans" and that I wasn't picked "due to the roles needed to fill."

Oh, well.

It's kind of like the feelings I get buying the occasional lottery ticket. It's fun to fantasize about what might happen, but when I don't beat the odds, I sulk for a few minutes and get on with my life.

In an unexpected twist, the Rockies are comping me four "VIP tickets" to a game this year. Not sure what a VIP ticket entails, but it did cushion the blow. Nice move, Rox!
